Television Technology for a New Age : Plasma vs. LCD Televisions.

Now you are prepared to get a brand spanking new Flat Screen Television . There should be 1,000,000 sets for you to select from, but 'come rain or snow or dark of night' you're leaving with a flat screen Television . You feel good as the sales rep approaches you. You let her know that you would like a flat screen and would like to see what they have available. The 1st question she asks you is, "Are you on the lookout for an LCD or a Plasma?" Uhyou've just been defeated.

Let us take a short study the traits of both Plasmas and LCDs.

Come anywhere from 32"-63" with the 40-44" range being the hottest.

You're feeling good as the sales rep approaches you. You haven't any concept what the differences are or perhaps what questions that should be asked.

LCDs may be employed as PC monitors.

Plasmas may be able to support the lower tier digital definition ( Reinforced Definition, or ED ) better than LCDs. As a consequence, it could be worth saving money by purchasing an ED Plasma. Which Television is right for you? That is a superb question , but like all good analyses, it needs some extra discernment.

If a lot of folks will be watching the Television at one point, the Plasma's wider viewing angle might be the best chance.

If weight is a worry for you, go with the LCD.

If power usage is a concern, the LCD is a better purchase.
